Nucleus CMS is a multiblog system. You can have one or more blogs on one Nucleus installation. After the installation you have one blog in your system. Often it is the only used blog.

You can change a huge number of options for each blog on your system. Every blog uses the global settings but also has it’s own settings for the blog name, the blog URL, the used skin and more.

After you have logged in you see the Homepage of your backend with a list of Your Weblogs. In the screenshot is a single blog called My nucleus blog. For the next step you choose the Settings of your blog:

Click on the Settings link indicated with the red arrow

There are a lot of options for your blog. The most important are:

  • Blog Name, Short Blog Name, Blog Description: The names will appear on your page in dependency of your skin.
  • URL: The URL must point to the directory where your index.php file is. Normally it’s set correct during the installation process. But it’s a good idea to check it. A wrong URL can cause trouble with the links on your page or damage your news feeds (RSS and ATOM).
  • Default Skin: The skin that is used for your blog. You must change the skin of your blog here and not in the Global Settings.

A lot of useful settings can also made here, for example:

  • Convert line breaks: Decides if a line break in your posting is converted to a
    tag in HTML or not.
  • Notify Addresses: You can specifiy one or more e-mail adress(es) that recieves a notification message on new comments, karma votes and weblog items.

Use the button Change Settings to save your new settings:

Click on "Change Settings" to save your new settings
