Miscellaneous
Scenario:
"I want to include .pdf files and other documents in my blog posts. What's the easiest way to do this?"
Solution:
You can post any sort of files you like, in the same way you would post images in your blog items.
Original forum thread (thanks, cyblot!):
http://forum.nucleuscms.org/viewtopic.php?t=13678
Method:
- Click on the little 'Insert media' icon in the 'Add Item' screen:

- Click on the 'Upload new file' button to add your new file. In this example, we are going to upload a .pdf file, but this method will work with any type of file you like:

- You can use the 'Browse' button to locate the file you want to upload or your hard drive or type the path and filename directly into the text field. When you've selected your file, click 'Upload':

- If you run into a "filetype not allowed" error message, check that you have set your allowed upload file types correctly:

After you fix your file type upload settings, upload your file again.
- When your file has finished uploading, select it from your list of uploaded files:

- Type some text you want to be in the link to your uploaded file:

- You should now have a blog item that looks like this:

- Click on 'Add Item'. Your visitors can now download your file through the link in your new blog item:
