Scenario:
"I just imported a skin from the Skins site but when I change the skin of my blog to something other than the default skin, my page just has black text without any pretty images, css, formating or styles!"
Solution:
.css files. Note that you must upload everything exactly as it is in the skin folder (i.e. /skinname/) to the /skins/ directory. For example, if you are trying to install the Libra skin, make sure you have uploaded the entire /libra/ folder, not just everything in the folder..css file is where the file actually is! For example, the .css file for the official Nucleus CMS website is at http://nucleuscms.org/styles/skins/nucleus/style.css. If your .css file is being called from http://yourdomain.com/directory/style.css, check there actually is a file called style.css in the directory /directory/.skinname_skin.zip) you have only uploaded the folder skinname. Some unzipping software will unzip the skin package into a folder with the same name as the skin package (e.g. skinname_skin with a subfolder skinname). Do not upload this folder! Open the folder and upload the folder skinname inside the first folder.Original forum thread (thanks, echinacea!):
