Troubleshooting

What does the "Disallowed" error mean?

Sometimes, after you edited a skin or template, errors saying Disallowed (Variable) will suddenly pop up in parts of your website. Nucleus will show this error when incorrect (skin or template) variables have been used.

Skins
Not all skinvars can be used in all parts of your skin. Some are specifically meant for the Error Page or the Search Page skinpart. The variables that can be used in a certain skinpart are listed under each of the skin edit area's.

Templates
All variables that can be used in the different parts of your template are listed in a popup help file, which you open by clicking the question mark image () next to the title of that template part. An explanation of how these can be used in is also available in the popup help.

If a Disallowed error appears on your site, first write down on what kind of page it appears (Main Page, Item Page, Archive page?). Then enter the Nucleus admin area (in a new window) and go to the appropriate part of the skin you use. Find the variable that caused the error and check if you made an error (variables and plugin names are Case Sensitive!). If that isn't the problem, go over the list of skin/template variables that are allowed there and check if the used variable is valid.
